I have a dream cast

What could be the perfect team to create a retro game from start to release ?
- a producer which came with the idea, the contacts and the money
- an pixel artist to draw the game elements
- a developer to code the game logic
- a sound designer, able to produce a symphony for this poor little sound cpu
- an electronic engineer to design the PCB and write some VHDL code for the cartridge to boot
- an artist to design the label, cover and manual
- a distributor
- a project manager to make of all them work together around the same goal : fun

Let's face it, this 'perfect' team is most of the time one and only one person (and minus the money).
Well, this team try to be one and only person, which is of course impossible, unless on some rare cases.

On hold or on hole ?

You get fun for weeks coding your awesome game but fun is too quickly replaced by sadness and shame when 'all it lacks is sound'.
Why ? Because you know how to code, perhaps you're also able to draw some pixel art at the 8bit style level but sound is cleary not your taste...you even slept on music course at school!
So what? The game is awesome but, without sound, it is nothing more than a tech demo...You fight some days but, hélàs, a bip is still a ugly bip.
And, so you decided to 'keep this for later' and start another "fun" game coding session...then another....then another.
But the 'later' never come and your awesome games enter the list of the project on hold before everyone finally forget it, you included.

Do what you want not what you need

Your game only need help from someone and it's definitely NOT you.
Hopefully, retro lovers are coder or sound designer or artist or , well, <insert your job here>
So let's ask them, them who master something you dislike, if they want to help.
We're not talking of exposure, we're talking here to share skills to finally share fun and happiness

Are you waiting for someone ? Present your project and its current status, then wait for the next member of your team to contact you
Are you waiting for contribute to a project for the system you like but can't make it yourself ? Browse the projects on hold, just waiting for you..and your skills
Are you looking for money ? Well...sorry, we only share fun and love for retro system here...Rarely, even if it happens, money. Thanks for reading !

No-tendo

Due to recent events, we could not take the risk to see this website closed by the ashamed 'tendo lawyers.
So, while we know some awesome projects are waiting for help on the GameBoy, NES or SNES, we sadly couldn't give them a hand.

And since a bad news never comes alone, same goes for Konami inspired games.
They have proven how they hates their fans and only want their money.

It was a very difficult choice to make but we had to filter projects to be sure it won't have a negative impact on reborn projects.
We hope you'll understand. Be free to contact us about it if you want.
